current top 7 songs

Current Top 7 Songs
Hello everyone!

Judy (other author for this blog) and I have decided to collab with our friend Joyce. We were to share with y'all our current favourite songs. Here they are. You can click each heading for a link to where you can listen to it :)

Demons- Imagine Dragons
This song is so catchy, I really should listen to more of their songs. And the dedication at the end of the music video is heart warming.

The Mother We Share- CHVRCHES
I found this song in the deep abyss of YouTube, and I've been listening to it over and over again for a while now. The band is 'synthpop', which I had never heard of before, and I think it's really cool. (this song is rated explicit though!)

Wings- Birdy
I've always admired Birdy, as she's so young but her voice is beautiful. Her songs and covers are unique to their originals, which I love.

Towers- Little Mix
Little Mix has the most amazing vocals and harmonies... they're perfect :) This is song is rather soft compared to the rest of the Salute album.

Love In A Box- The Workday Release
This song is rather catchy, and the guitar in the backing matches with the voice perfectly.

Selfies- Nina Nesbitt
I love Nina Nesbitt's voice, and she's beautiful. The music video is so cute too!

I See The Light- Tangled Soundtrack
Of course, you can never go wrong with a Disney song! Releasing my inner childish personality ^^; This is probably my favourite song from the movie; the lanterns are breathtakingly beautiful (even if they are just animations!) Rapunzel and Flynn/Eugene are so adorable <3

So that's it! Overall, I would say my music style is pop, alternative and indie? Hmm, not sure ...

Be sure to watch out for Judy's post soon, and check out Joyce's post here.

Hope you're having an awesome day,
Lena xx

the burning house

"If your house was burning, what would you take with you?"

This project type thing is where you take a photograph of the things you treasure most, and what you would take with you if your house was on fire. Here are my items~

sorry for the bad quality! D:
  • Phone (Samsung Galaxy S3)
  • My first Harry Potter book
  • SD card for photos.
  • USB for documents.
  • Glasses because I am short sighted, but I never wear them. Just in case.
  • Current sketchbook.
  • Pens and pencils.
  • Panda pencil case.
  • Camera.
  • My handmade charms.
  • Drawing book from when I was little, which I would also write (very bad) stories in.
  • Small soft toys.
This is of course hypothetical, and if I was really in danger of a fire, I would probably panic and try to escape instantly...

I hope you're having a lovely day :) Today was one of my best friend's birthday actually. :D I was quite stupid and mixed up 'elated' with 'belated' on her birthday card... oops.

burt's bees lip balm

So a week or so ago, I did some shopping and I came across this in Myer. It was originally in a packet with the lemon butter cuticle cream (both by Burt's Bees). There were about 3 flavours, and I bought the Beewax Lip Balm with vitamin E and peppermint.

So after purchasing it, I opened up the packet and tried it out. At first, it felt like any other lip balm but about 5 seconds later I started to feel this tingly sensation on my lips. It felt quite minty and cool, and the effect stayed for a while after. That was the peppermint acting up. I wasn't quite into the peppermint at first, but after 2 or 3 tries it felt quite nice!

I personally have naturally chapped lips, so I have to apply lip balm quite frequently. And this, might be my favourite lip balm!

Above is a picture of it with it cap off~
It is a clear lip balm, so it goes on without any colour. It is also peppermint scented, which I love now :D It has added vitamin E which is EXCELLENT for your skin, and of course the peppermint flavour which leaves a special tingly feeling on your lips. <3
So in conclusion... I LOVE IT! This is the first product I have tried from Burt's Bees, and since I love it so much I will probably be trying out some more from their range. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good quality moisturising and nourishing lip balm.
So that is it for now, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
~ Judy :)
