february favourites

Heellloooooo!

So... it's nearly March already?! Time sure does fly past right before your eyes... Anyway, here are some of the things I've been lovin' recently in le month of February!

Burt's Bees Lipbalm
Yep, still loving this! This isn't really a monthly favourite, but more like a product I swear by everyday. This lip balm is hydrating, smooth and also feels great on your lips.

Macbook (mirror)
So I've recently been loving my new macbook... mirror. Yep, it's shaped, coloured and designed like mini macbook air, except it's a mirror! HOW CUTE IS THAT?! I finally own a mac... (who am I kidding, I'll only have one in my dreams T_T)

Aloe Vera Gel
It's summer here in Australia, and summer means heat and sun. Lots and lots of sun. Thankfully, this pure aloe gel relieves and moisturises my skin from sunburn, and it's become my saviour from the hot Aussie sun. (It's funny because it's just like jelly.)

Mint Samsung S3 Case
YAY! New phone cases always get me excited! I particularly love this one because of its simple design and beautiful colour. Ah, mint coloured things are so pretty!

Crochet Needles
I recently got crochet needles and wool, and to my surprise, managed to crochet a few things!

~February Feels~

Any news?
School started! Let the homework and assignments pile in!

Achievements!
I started posting on Instagram again *yay*

Favourite food at the moment...
I've been really enjoying summer fruits like watermelon and mango. Yum!

Favourite past-time
Crocheting and reading (and browsing the internet of course!)

What I've been listening to
Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars
Immortals - Fall Out Boy
Sugar - Maroon 5
Afire Love - Ed Sheeran

Goal for March
Don't finish my homework the day before it's due (if that's possible).

I hope you've had a fabulous February and stay tuned for March!

Stay cool!

Liebster Award 2015: get to know more about us!

Did a little drawing of Judy and myself... guess who's who? ;)
Aloha!

Bit of a different post we're writing today, but-

AHHHHHHHHHHH ACTUAL HUMANS READ OUR RANDOM LITTLE BLOG FULL OF BLABBER AND PHOTOS WE'LL CRINGE AT IN THE FUTURE YAAAAAAAAAAY LIFE GOAL ACHIEVED :D

... we've been nominated for a Liebster Award! Thanks My Daisychain Closet for the nomination!

Credits to My Daisychain Closet for the image!

If you don't know what it is, it's not so much an 'award' as much but more of a tag created for smaller bloggers. Basically, whoever tags you asks you a bunch of fun questions and once you answer them, you create more questions to give to the people you tag. Sounds confusing, but it'll make sense, I promise.

So here are the rules (credits to this post where I got the rules from. It was the first thing that came up in Google when I searched up 'Liebster Award' so they must be right xD)

  • Write a blog post and reveal 11 interesting facts about yourself
  • In the same blog post answer the questions designated by the blogger who nominated you
  • You must also nominate other new bloggers for the Liebster Award
  • Give your nominees a list of questions they have to answer

FACTS ABOUT US (we'll do 6 each!)

Lena:
  • I have a love hate relationship with my laptop. It's the heaviest thing in the world and is super slow and has barely any space left on it but it's still so wonderful :")
  • Sims 3 is life.
  • Most of my childhood I've always been the super shy kid in class, and every single report said I was 'quiet'.
  • I cry reaaaaaally easily. When I was younger, it was mainly if someone hurt me physically or verbally, but now it's more from sad movies and depressing books. Or when I see something incredibly cute... I dunno why xD
  • According to my parents, I taught myself how to hold a pencil, draw and write. Probably was absolutely sucky at all of them though!
  • I dislike carrot.

Judy:
  • Matcha and Macbooks. *internally screams*
  • I have been learning the piano since year 4 (when I was 10). ♬ do re mi
  • I pull horribly derpy faces that probably make me look really weird. I'm sorry if I scare you away T_T
  • I was considered tall in Kindergarten, but then other people started growing and I stayed short until around year 8, and now I'm finally growing taller again ^_^
  • I won a few drawing/colouring competitions back in the days, and got to meet the Premier, which felt considerably overwhelming to my 7 year old self!
  • I'm a horrible procrastinator. #procrastinationstation

And now for le questions...

Key: L- Lena, J- Judy

1. If you had to sum up your blog in one sentence, what would it be?
L and J- Random ideas and thoughts typed out into weird sentences that consist of exclamation marks and lots of capitalisation, and usually quite unrelated photographs to make up for the rambles.

2. What's three things you want to achieve this year? One big and one small.
L- I want to a) Start volunteering somewhere (because getting a job is too daunting for me xD), b) Post every single week on this blog, c) Get straight As.
J- The three most important things I want to achieve are a) stop procrastinating and do something with all my spare time, b) read a lot more books, and c) yep, get straight A's.

3. What’s at the top of your current wishlist?
L- Crochet hooks, because I lost my small ones. Well technically they were my mum's.
J- I would say a Macbook, but that wouldn't be realistic, so I'll have to stick with cacti/ succulents! They're just so cute ^_^

4. If you could be best friends with any blogger/youtuber, who would it be?
L- I have no idea... probably Zoë Sugg because she just seems to be such a lovely person. And so I could play with Nala, her pet pug eeeeee so cute! ♡
J- T_T Can I be best friends with everyone?

5. Favourite quote?
L- "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
J- "Kindness is the language which deaf can hear and the blind can see."

6. If time had to stop and you were frozen at one point in your life, which point would you choose and why?
L- When I was 7-8 years old. Those were the good old days :')
J- Same... :')

7. Favourite film and why?
L- Any of the Harry Potter ones, hands down. I haven't properly watched any since I've started high school, and the other day Chamber of Secrets was playing as I walked past the TV, and I almost started crying from all the feels and memories T^T
J- Hm... I would say Finding Nemo, Wreck-it Ralph or some other Disney film :P Ooh, the Lego Movie too... (I know, I know, not Disney but still great!)

8. Your top essential for a holiday/ packing?
L- A good camera to capture those perfect memories (and instagrammable moments)
J- Clean clothes? But other than that, a human that speaks the native language of the place you're travelling to comes in handy most of the time.

9. What's your favourite coffee shop and what is your most common order? I.e. Café Nero, Starbucks, Costa Coffee etc.
L- I actually hate coffee, but Starbucks Frappichinos are all right I guess.
J- Probably Starbucks or Gloria Jeans? (Those are the only two I've been to...)  I usually just go with a cookies n' cream or matcha frappuccino.

10. Your slightly odd guilty pleasure?
L- The smell of a freshly painted room. Most people hate it but I love it :P Also the smell of permanent markers. And the smell of nail polish (I didn't originally like it, but I grew used to it :P )
J- It's probably buying things I don't actually need, for example, cacti-shaped erasers. T_T

11. Your favourite book and a bit about it?
L- Only the best series of books in the entire universe... Harry Potter :D
J- I can't decide on a book, but it would probably be one by Jodi Picoult or one from the contemporary genre.

WE SHALL TAG:
10. ... and you! :)

OUR QUESTIONS FOR YOU:
1. Where you are from and one thing you love about it?
2. What is your favourite junk food?
3. Are you a procrastinator or are you the opposite?
4. Favourite social media platform?
5. Why did you start blogging?
6. What is your dream? In other words, if you were given one wish, what would you wish for?
7. Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
8. What's your favourite animal?
9. If you were to live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
10. Favourite quote?
11. Would you rather have a pet unicorn or dragon?

Phew, what a long post! We'll be back to posting normal random knick knacks next week in case this isn't your type of thing. ^_^

Stay fantabulous everyone,
Lena xx

camp 2k14

Hey guys!

I thought I might share some random photos from camp all the way back in November 2014. I didn't take much, but we both piled in our photos to make enough!

Fence to stop us from falling into the wilderness (jokes, but still). Shoutout to those people in the background sitting in a circle, playing cards xD

Sad looking campfire...

Colourful slippers ft. our horrible sock tans. Guess which ones are me and Lena? :D

Cabin!
Not sure why I took this photo...
LENA'S PHOTOS:
Sunset in the Australian bush!
HEAVY DAMN LUGGAGE

This smores kit we brought along was kind of a fail. Smores aren't a thing here in Australia, so we hadn't ever had them before... but when we actually got the chance to use them, we all forgot about it, Lena tripped over it and dropped some of the contents and the overall experience was pretty sad...

FOOOOOOOOOD :D f.t. Judy's hands

LENA'S AWESOME AND AMAZING PANDA PILLOW PET

Moooooooo

Wonder what happened here...

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE~ ♪

*deliberately darkens photo to hide people's faces*
Sitting by the campfire f.t. Lena's awesome marshmallow

Mysterious looking dirt track!

Of course, we also had to stay out one night in a tent about an hour's walk away from the main camp. But nonetheless, camp was an amazing experience that I got to take part in!

january favourites

Hi there! :)

January's been an awesome month, having spent half of it overseas and the other half in the beautiful heat and summer of Sydney. And it was my birthday. If you can't tell, I love warmth and get cold awfully easily, so me and winter don't go well together.

Anywho, today I'll share with you some of my favourites things from this month! Hopefully I can try make this a monthly thing.

  • Cute stationery in preparation for back to school
  • Glitter polishes. Especially chunky ones, or ones with heaps of different shapes and colours.
  • A little watch necklace. Makes a nice accessory, but also handy in telling the time!
  • Paw paw lipbalm and EOS. I like to apply the paw paw one on my lips before I sleep, as they're always cracked! T_T
  • Fineliners for drawing. When I first found the 0.05 mm one, I was amazed that a pen could draw so finely.
  • My new Kikki K 2015 planner, to keep me organised and my life in check.

Looking Back on January~
The Best Thing
Travelling around China and Hong Kong, and experiencing the culture and lifestyle of foreign places.

The Hardest Thing
Staying alive in the cold weather, whilst being jealous of all my friends enjoying their summer's in the sunshiney Sydney! xD

One Lesson I Learned
The amount of people in this world is incredible, and the fact that each and every single human has a life story to tell shows us that life is wonderfully exciting :D

One New Thing I Tried
Saying stuff in Cantonese. Didn't work.

What I've Been Listening to

What I've Been Watching
Big Hero 6. Someone please find me my own Baymax. *hint hint* Judy it was my birthday recently... *nudge nudge wink wink* xD

Goal for February
Get back into the school routine, and do well in all my subjects.

What have you been loving this month? :)

Lena xx
